DESCRIPTION/Outline (reflects needed skills)
This is a select group of auditioned singers that also participate as members of Madrigal Choir. This group is recognized as one of the top vocal jazz groups in the nation. Consistent with choir syllabi skills, they also master improvisational skills, sound equipment, and solo singing. Many qualify for Honor groups at all levels. Individual vocal style is encouraged within the ensemble context. They have a very busy and active performance season in December with their Christmas caroling engagements, and again in the Spring for their Jazz festival/competition events.
