Doughnuts, power slides, off road driving and reckless driving of any kind is dangerous to those around you and dangerous to you.  It often causes damage to vehicles and can lead to injuries. Please drive respectfully at all times Marines. Help keep our campus and community safe by observing all parking and traffic codes while on campus or out in the community. Remember Mariners a safe captain, creates a safe vessel and a safer sea.

Testing 1.2.3

Testing 1.2.3

This is a test Mariners.

Though some deduced that California Standardized Testing and Reporting Assessments were a thing of the past based on portions of Governor Brown’s legislation; that is not the case. Additionally, it is my pleasure to provide you with the most current information regarding standardized testing for the 2013_14 school year; which includes the administration of the 10th grade General Science assessment (CST), 11th grade English and Math (CST) assessments as well as the piloting of various portions of the upcoming California Common Core State Standards (CCCSS) web based Smarter Balance assessments at various grade levels.

The testing window for the completion of the two types of assessments will vary (tentatively scheduled to occur from April 28th 2014 through June 6th 2014.) A more finite schedule will be determined shortly. What is certain is that this process will continue to evolve into the New Year.

Please feel free to use the link below for more information regarding the administration of summative assessments this school year.

Park the Car!

Park the Car!

Greetings Mariners,

The AHS parking lots, both upper and lower lots, are nearly full. As a result, parking permits for the 2013-14 school year are no longer available. We have sold 350 parking permits; our limit. However, to accommodate students and families that might have special, unforeseen or planned, circumstances (illness, travel, special needs) we have reserved a few parking spaces to be used through the issuance of a temporary parking permit. Temporary parking permits can be issued for a maximum period of 6 school days. Students and families that find themselves facing special circumstances should contact the office manager, Melani Davis, in advance when possible, and ask to receive a temporary parking permit. Students should be prepared to provide, a valid drivers license, valid registration, and valid proof of insurance.

If you have any questions regarding parking or the issuance of a Temporary Parking Permit please contact Assistant Principal Rich Moran at 688-6565 ext. 246
