ROP Health Careers

Grade Level: 11th grade recommended.

Recommended as 11th grade as pre-requisite for ROP Medical Technologies in 12th grade.

This course is an introduction to over 250 careers in the health care field. Students will participate in a combination of interactive classroom instruction, career panels and an introduction to various pre-clinical medical skills. Curriculum will provide students with a global view of today’s healthcare environment while exposing them to potential career opportunities. Students will learn medical terminology, healthcare systems, nutrition, qualities of a healthcare provider, light anatomy and preparing for the world of work.
