Student Schedule Changes

Student Schedules

 

Welcome Back Students and Parents,

 

The following is to inform you on the processes for requesting a student schedule change.

 

Requests for schedule change:

If you wish to request a schedule change, please submit a Request for Schedule Change form in the Guidance office. Counselors will call students to the office in the order in which Request for Schedule Change forms were submitted. If you have already submitted a course change request, there is no need to resubmit.  Please note that schedule change requests are only processed with a completed Request for Schedule Change form.

 

Only students with “gaps” in their schedules report to the office during that period:

During the first few days of school counselors will be primarily focused on seeing students who have unscheduled periods (what we call having “a gap” in your schedule). So if you do not have a class on your schedule for any particular period, go to the guidance office that period.

 

Schedules subject to change:

Please note that all students’ schedules are subject to change. Some classes may be impacted or over-enrolled. Counselors therefore will be balancing classes by removing students from overloaded classes, and adding students to less impacted classes, giving priority to students who have best met the recommended placement criteria, students who are closest to graduation, and students whose schedules least permit change.
