Prerequisite: None.
This is a required 11th grade course which must be passed to qualify for graduation. After a review of the American Revolution, the Constitution, the Civil War, and Reconstruction, U.S. History students will examine 20th century America. Topics include the Progressive Era, Jazz Age, Great Depression, World War I, World War II, Japanese-American Internment, the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, geography, and U.S. to the present. Students are responsible for keeping and creating an interactive notebook. Daily homework is assigned and grades based on examinations, projects, homework, participation, their notebook, and classwork.
