| 3830 AP Environmental Science Prerequisites: Students should have completed biology, chemistry, and first year algebra all with grades of "B" or better. Some advanced algebra training will be useful. Grade Level: 11 - 12 The year-long AP Environmental Science course is designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college course in environmental science. This course will be a rigorous interdisciplinary laboratory science college course that will provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural- and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. It is expected that students will take the AP Environmental Exam in the spring. UC/CSU Requirement(s): (Pending UC/CSU Approval)
