4600 Weight Lifting

Prerequisite: None
Grade Level: 10 - 12

Advanced P.E.-Weightlifting is designed to further enhance the fitness skills learned in Beginning P.E. Students must be dressed in Aptos P.E. clothes to participate in the daily activities. The weightlifting class will focus on human anatomy, strength building, muscle toning, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Students will participate in a rigorous weightlifting routine throughout the year that focuses on improving the student's overall muscular strength. Grades are earned using a point system based on the student's attendance, participation, and cooperation.
