**Students who miss the late registration deadline can attempt to take a test as a “standby” by arriving at the test center before 8:00AM with a completed registration form, standby fees, picture identification, and appropriate testing tools. Standbys are admitted on a space and materials available basis.

How to Register:

PSAT: pay $20 at the Finance Office to receive reporting directions, a receipt, and a study guide (checks payable to AHS). Registration closes on October 10.

SAT & ACT: Register on line or through the mail only. Registration packs and study materials are available in the Aptos High School Career Center (I-204) and Counseling Office (I-205). Students may register by mail or online:

Fee Waivers: Fee waivers are available for SAT, PSAT, and ACT exams. To receive a waiver, students must be able to qualify for the free or reduced fee lunch program. See Tamera Parks in the Counseling Office (I-205).
