The class is conducted fallowing the State framework, with emphasis on listening comprehension, speaking an writing for communication. Students talk about family and friends, time and weather, foods, recreation and sports entertainment. They express preferences, ask questions, hold interviews, count, make comparisons, describe people and places. Students work alone, with a partner, and in groups. Cassette activities are also used. Students keep a note book and portfolio. Daily homework in the workbook is REQUIRED. Culturally authentic activities include French Food, games, folk songs, and videos.
