Prerequisite: Must have played an instrument for at least one year; student will be expected to remain in class for the entire year.

Offered to performers on flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, bassoon, trombone, baritone horn, tuba, and percussion. There are limited openings for double bass and piano. The ensemble will perform characteristic literature written for wind ensemble. Performances include concerts, festivals, competitions, community events. The band doubles as a pep band for home football games in the fall semester as well as performing at concerts. In the spring, the main focus is performing at adjudicated festivals and going on a spring tour. Students will have the opportunity to audtion for Honors groups. Attendance at rehearsals and performances in REQUIRED. May be repeated for credit.
