Welcome to the Boosters

President's Welcome

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  We’re very excited about this year and the opportunity to work together to make an impact for the Aptos High School Community.

The Aptos High School Booster Club, also known as the Aptos Mariners Booster Club, is a fully independent non-profit 501©3 established in 1970.  We are very proud to have continuously supported the students of Aptos High School funding critical gaps in curriculum and extra curricular activities.  We support a cross-section of programs and initiatives including:

  • Academics
  • Arts
  • Athletics
  • Career & College Readiness
  • Clubs
  • Software/Technology

In addition to general business, we run and administer several fundraisers throughout the year:

  • Mariner Wear Sales (Year-Round)
  • Drive for Schools (September –October)
  • Support Empty Bowls/Second Harvest Food Bank Fundraiser (November 7, 2017)
  • Annual Dinner, Dance & Auction Fundraiser (March 3, 2018)
  • Plan and Run Grad Night (June 8, 2018)

We’re very pleased to have a full board made up of wonderful parents just like you.  Most of us work full time along with volunteering to run the booster club.  This includes a great deal of administration.  It is critical for our on-going success to have additional members of the community participating in our monthly meetings, evaluating funding requests, providing sub-committee leadership and support; and, working together to foster a thriving organization.    We highly encourage you to get involved regardless of how much or how little time you have.  The Boosters coordinate volunteers, raise funds, provide information to parents and teachers and help provide a link between school and home.  Parent involvement is key to ensuring your child has a successful school year.   Beyond that, volunteering is a great way to counterbalance some of the challenges we face in the rest of our lives and feel some control of the world around us.

Additional ways to help and provide support:

  • Shop on Amazon and start your shopping from www.aptoshs.net home page.  We get advertising fees (as much as 15% of your spending) at no extra cost to you. So please book mark this link Amazon.com and start shopping.
  • Consider talking to your company about making a Corporate Donation.
  • Make an on-going Employee Contribution through your employer and direct funds to AHS Booster Club.
  • Donate a gift card, concert or sports tickets, vacation home time, air-mileage, wine, art or other unique item to our annual Dinner Dance & Auction.
  • Attend our Annual Dinner, Dance Fundraiser on March 3, 2018.
  • Buy Mariner Wear (coming online soon).

Please reach out if you’re interested in getting involved or making a donation.  Thanks for your support and please do help us and get involved.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Malone
