English 4-World Literature

Description

This course uses British literature to explore the themes associated with the human condition including: the origins of life, relationships, personal and social responsibility, and cultural identity. Major works include Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, A Tale of Two Cities, FrankensteinShort stories and poetry include: Wordsworth; Keats; Coleridge and Byron. Students will be required to write one term paper each semester. Student participation in all class activities is extremely important for successful completion of this course.
