Here are the ‘Zine articles so far—I’ve included phone numbers so that Kaitlyn and Dieter can get in touch with authors as needed. Deadline for articles are Tuesday, 11/27 (to be submitted at meeting):

I know there are more of you who could write some really great stuff! I’m hoping more people will write for “Why I’m an Ally” and “My Most Embarrassing Moment.” Let Kaitlyn or Dieter know if you’re interested!

Fun stuff: I’ve contacted Kaitlin from the Diversity Center to find out if we can get a calendar of events and then we could decide what to attend as a group. We are ready to do something as a group!

q Picnic in the Quad

Teal brought up a neat idea to have a picnic in the quad during lunchtime. This Picinic is Tuesday, 12/11.

q GSA Summit

Everyone is interested in attending a GSA summit that includes other high school GSA members. Some of us talked about how an overnight camping trip could be very fun.

q Club carnival

This Friday, we’re selling bracelets and “Shades” and a few t-shirts for sale. BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR SHIRT FRIDAY!

q The Video

The idea was brought up that we could show our soon-to-be-made video to the Junior high schools in PVUSD. We know that teasing in Middle School can sometimes be worse than in High School; so spreading knowledge to the younger class could be very effective.

q Emergency Meeting Thursday, 11/15 at lunch to discuss the video and get passes for club carnival.

q Rewards

This week we discussed possible rewards that we can receive from GSA. Multiple ideas were brought up. We could do a dance, bicycle car rental, overnight camping trip. Let’s come up with some more ways to reward ourselves for our hard work and look forward to something.
