Link Crew Dates To Remember

 

Please discuss the following dates with your boss, coach, family, etc.  The below dates are Mandatory, and more than two absences will lead to your dismissal.  Optional events such as Orientation prep day can waive an absence at a Mandatory event if Mrs. Fink-Thompson is notified in advance.  Write them on your calendars!!

 

 

  • Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30 during Tutorial for (Link Crew Class ONLY): In class Freshmen Follow-Up #1

 

  • Friday, September 21: Freshmen Social # 1 BBQ Tailgating Party at the football field (or wherever we are hosting games…depending on open/closed Mariner field)  approx 3:30-5:30 (Mandatory for all leaders)You must also call to invite your frosh personally.

 

  • Friday, September 28 Freshmen Tutorial Teacher Luncheon Put on by the (Link Crew Class ONLY)

 

  • Thursday, October 4 during this tutorial only is Freshmen Check-In # 1. Sign in on the role sheet in E208 at the beginning of tutorial, and be sure to ask your frosh all the questions on the script that was provided to you.  Write a summary of how your frosh. are doing in all areas of their life.  If any frosh seems to be in trouble in any area, please notify Mrs. Fink-Thompson immediately so we can send a Link Alert to the Frosh. Counselor. (Mandatory for all leaders)

 

  • Monte Fireworks is our first out of 3-4 fundraisers of the year.  Leaders are required to sell 2 tickets.  Due Dates will be announced at another date.  All tickets must be sold, and money must be returned by the deadline announced in the near future.  This counts as a (mandatory fundraiser for all leaders)

 

  • Sport Your Flower is another annual tradition/ fundraiser for us.  Pre-Selling is optional, and can be used to make up any missed event if Mrs. Fink-Thompson is notified.  Cards/Tickets can be obtained from me in E-208 anytime during the weeks prior to homecoming.  Final Pre-sales will take place on Thursday, October 18 with homecoming the next day.

 

 

  • Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1 during Tutorial for (Link Crew Class Only): IN class freshmen Follow Up # 2

 

  • Tuesday, November 6: “Taste of Air Jam” at lunch in the quad

 

  • Tuesday, November 6th  Air Jam from approx. 6-8:30…set up at 5:00 w/ clean up after, in the Gym. Air Jam is our annual Lip synching competition Fundraiser.  (Mandatory for all leaders to sell 2 tickets and be there on time)  You can enter free w/ your Link Crew T-shirt, otherwise you will be charged at the door.  Leaders looking to participate as one of the acts are always welcomed! You must also call to invite your frosh personally.

 

  • Wednesday, November 28th during this tutorial only is Freshmen Check-In # 2.   • Wednesday, November 28 is Freshmen Social # 2 “Movie Night” from 6-8 w/ prep at 5:30 and clean up after.  Movie night is (Mandatory for all leaders) You must also call to invite your frosh. personally. (location TBA)

 

  • Wednesday, January 23 and Thursday, January 24 during Tutorial for (Link Crew Class ONLY): In class Freshmen Follow-Up #3

 

 

  • Wednesday, February 27  during this tutorial only is Freshmen Check-In # 3 (Final Check IN). Sign in on the role sheet in E208 at the beginning of tutorial, and be sure to ask your frosh all the questions on the script that was provided to you.  Write a summary of how your frosh. are doing in all areas of their life.  If any frosh seems to be in trouble in any area, please notify Mrs. Fink-Thompson immediately so we can send a Link Alert to the Frosh. Counselor. (Mandatory for all leaders) Also be sure to remind them of next week’s Casino Night and ask them if they are coming

 

  • Tuesday, March 4 (before restructured Wed.) Frosh. Social # 3 “Casino Night” location TBA from 6-8 prep at 5 and clean up after...(Mandatory for all leaders) Also remember you must call and personally invite all of your frosh.

  • 8th Grade Reach Outs TBA volunteers from 07-08 leader program will be accepted to go on these all day field trips
